Trevor, Teresa & the Hall family welcome you to Quarterway Angus.
We are multi-generational family owned & operated farming operation located in the prime pasture & produce growing regions of northeast of Tasmania where we have proudly bred Angus cattle for more than six decades.
The next generation of Halls – Emily, Alice, Riley & Toby – are actively involved with the stud as it draws from traditions to provide commercial & registered beef producers with modern solutions – providing high-quality seedstock and commercial cattle to the industry.
From humble beginnings, Quarterway Angus Stud started in 1956 by Trevor’s parents, Lance & Ena Hall, at ‘Quarterways’ in North Scottsdale, hence the stud’s name.
Lance & Ena began with just two Angus cows they purchased from the Duff family in Sheffield, Tasmania & over the next 60 years the stud expanded to the large farming enterprise it is today where the stud mated over 500 stud cows in 2022.
Trevor Hall has been involved in the stud since he could walk & from 2012 has been at the helm of the Quarterway operation.
Along with breeding fine Angus cattle for the annual sales, the Hall family have been actively showing cattle at Tasmania’s Agricultural Shows since the 1960’s with great success.
Breeding Angus cattle since 1958 we have trialled, tested & selected our stud sires & dams vigorously & all home grown Quarterway bulls are tested on-property prior to being used over the stud’s females.
